Mark Your Calendar! Upcoming Climate & Environment Events Tree Tour of Mahone Bay, meet at Jubilee Park Entrance – 10am Friday, August 11th (Rain Day: Saturday, August 12th ) This event will feature a walking tour of the native trees here in Mahone Bay using our Tree Inventory Map. Bring a mobile device, walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, and water. This is a great opportunity to practice your tree identification skills, meet other tree enthusiasts, appreciate our natural assets, and learn about the Town’s plans to conserve our canopy! We will walk to Bayview Cemetery while highlighting the benefits of the urban forest. Urban Forest Engagement Session, in Fire Hall Community Room – 7pm Wednesday, August 16th This evening event will outline the progress made in mapping the urban forest using our new map. Learn about local natural assets, asset management, and our plans to develop an Urban Forest Management Plan! We will also have a Q&A session on how residents can get involved with data collection.
