On Tuesday, July 12th and Wednesday, July 13th from 9am to 6pm, wood from clearing the site of the community solar garden will be available to the public free of charge. The wood is currently stacked in approximately 6 to 8-foot lengths and while there will be a contractor on site to assist with cutting to a manageable length, anyone who enters the site to collect wood does so at their own risk.

Wood is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is being offered free of charge as an additional benefit to the community. Pick-up is at 918 Main Street only in the times noted.

Update - Water System Upgrade 2022

7/5/2022

There will be a complete street closure on Main Street, between Freeman Veinotte Road and Kinburn Street, from 8pm on Thursday, July 7th until 7am on Friday, July 8th.

This road closure is part of the ongoing update of water lines to and from the water treatment plant. We apologize for the inconvenience and we all look forward to this much needed update of our 1940s era water lines.

Update 4:30 pm: The water main has been repaired and water service has been restored. Check for discoloured water by funning a cold-water faucet. If discoloured water is present, flush your system by continuing to run a cold-water faucet until the water runs clear.

If you do not have water at this time, please contact the after-hours line at 902-543-3251. Thank you for your patience.

July 4, 2022, 3:11pm: Due to damage to a main water line from the Water Treatment Plant, water service will be interrupted in Mahone Bay for repairs. We anticipate a few hours for the repair. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will have the water back as soon as possible.
