Beginning at 8am tomorrow, the area from near 740 Main Street to Town limits at Maders Cover will be reduced to single lane traffic. This traffic disruption is necessary in order to replace asphalt in the outbound lane.
The Town of Mahone Bay is seeking volunteers to be the frontline staff for the Comfort Centre at the Mahone bay and District Fire Department at 41 Hawthorn Road.
A Comfort Centre is a place where people can go for warming, cooling, electricity, washroom and other amenities during an emergency situation. Before completing this volunteer application, please read the Town of Mahone Bay Comfort Centre Operating Procedures here. The application can be found here. If you have any questions, please contact Eric J. Levy at [email protected]. Due to some mechanical difficulties with one of GE's trucks, some solid waste was not collected today. If your solid waste was not removed today, please leave at the curb and it will be picked up first thing tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 11th traffic will be down to one lane in the area of 922 Main Street. This disruption is necessary in order for contractors to install a culvert.
Beginning next week, fall clean up will begin at Park and Bayview Cemeteries.
All items placed on plots other than memorials and items attached to the memorials will be removed during clean up.
