Post-Tropical Storm Debris Collection
Storm debris will be collected at scheduled times to assist residents with property clean up. Town of Mahone Bay: Monday, September 25 Collection Guidelines:
Bundling, tying and putting small items in boxes makes it easier for the waste hauler to collect your waste. Place waste curbside by 8:00 am on collection day. Hazardous waste cannot be collected during this pick-up. These items must be taken to the Recycling Centre’s hazardous waste depot at 908 Mullock Road, Whynott’s Settlement. Questions? Call (902) 543-2991 or visit www.communityrecycling.ca. Electric utility staff will be shutting down the entire western circuit, starting at 1pm and lasting approximately 30 minutes, in order to make necessary post storm repairs.

Nova Scotia Power has restored power to our main transmission line. The central circuit now has power. Crews are currently working to restore power to the eastern and western circuits.
If you are on the central circuit and currently don't have power, or if you are on the eastern or western circuit and don't have power after those circuits are restored, please contact our after hours phone service at 902-543-3251. Once all three circuits are up and running, crews will begin work on isolated outages. The comfort centre at the Mahone Bay Firehall will reopen tomorrow from 9am - 12noon.
