There will be a Public Hearing on October 28, 2021 to receive comments from the Public regarding the Town of Mahone Bay's proposed By-law to Repeal the Dangerous and Unsightly Buildings By-law. The repeal of the by-law has been proposed due to a reference to a now defunct provincial legislation (the Town's Act) and the fact that the Municipal Government Act provides the same regulations as the existing Town of Mahone Bay Dangerous and Unsightly Buildings By-law, which makes the existing by-law redundant.
The Public Hearing will be held on October 28, 2021 at 6:30pm on the Town's YouTube channel. If you would like to make a submission to the Public Hearing, please contact Town staff by phoning (902)624-8327, or by emailing [email protected]. A draft of the By-law to Repeal can be read on the Town's website, or at Town Hall. The by-law will be considered for 2nd reading and adoption at a meeting of Town Council held on October 28, 2021 immediately following the Public Hearing. Comments are closed.
