Election 2020

9/28/2020

Voting in the 2020 Municipal and School Board Election
Picture
The Town of Mahone Bay, like many municipalities, has decided on a paper-less election for 2020 Municipal Election. This will help us adhere to the highest possible safety standards in respect to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The use of telephone and internet voting has the added benefit of allowing greater accessibility for those with mobility and other challenges that can make the traditional paper ballot method of voting difficult.
How do I vote?

Telephone and Internet Voting

Saturday, October 3rd 8am until
Saturday, October 17th 7pm

Use the information on your Voter Information Letter. You will find your PIN and the phone number or website address to use. Then just follow the prompts.

Voting in person - Kiosk (tablet)

For those who prefer to go to a polling station, we will have three opportunities to do so. While we will not have paper ballots, we will have a voting kiosk (a tablet) ready for you to vote online.

The Tablets give us the opportunity to sanitize thoroughly between voters to ensure that we make this as safe of an election as possible, despite the ongoing pandemic.
