Widespread Power Outages

9/16/2023

Due to high winds, there are widespread power outages within the Town. Crews will not be able to address any outages until winds come down to safe levels. Thank you for your patience Mahone Bay and be safe!

Are you Prepared?

9/15/2023

Are you storm ready?

Do you follow Lunenburg REMO - Regional Emergency Management Organization (REMO) on Facebook? This is an excellent place to get tips and tricks on how to get prepared and get information on the current status in the case of an emergency. You can also visit their website at https://www.lunenburgremo.ca/

Over the weekend (or any time after regular business hours) you can call our after hours emergency service if you spot any public infrastructure emergencies or damage (power outages, flooded roads, etc.). The number for our after hours service is 902-543-3251.

A reminder that it is not safe for our electric utility staff to work in high winds. If the power goes out, they will assess the situation and start work as soon as it's safe to do safe.

Stay safe Mahone Bay!
