The Town of Mahone Bay has invested in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles!


Eight FLO SmartTWO chargers have been installed throughout the Town and are now available for public use! The charger locations are shown on the map and are listed here: 

Kinburn Pharmasave - 522 Main St (has 2 charging ports)
Saltbox Brewery - 363 Main St
Mahone Bay Center - 45 School St
Mahone Bay & District Fire Hall - 41 Hawthorn Rd 
Mahone Bay Marina - 683 Main St.
Mahone Bay Town Hall - 493 Main St

Green House Gas Reduction

In March 2021, the Town of Mahone Bay adopted an ambitious Greenhouse Gas Reduction Action Plan.

The transportation sector has been identified as the second highest source of emissions in Mahone Bay. Installing electric vehicle chargers is an important step in reducing our emissions!

Due to the high percentage of renewables in the Mahone Bay electric utility, charging your electric vehicle here will truly allow you to reduce your carbon footprint!

Flo SmartTwo Chargers

Flo SmartTwo chargers are simple and straight forward to use!

They can be accessed using the free FLO mobile app, or a FLO access card.

Our SmartTwo chargers feature a J1772 connector, which is compatible with almost all electric vehicles and plug in hybrids!

There is a fee of $1.50/hour to use the charging stations. You can pay for your charging session by adding funds to your FLO account or FLO access card using a credit card.

There is an additional fee of $0.50 per session if you are not a FLO member.

Please note that these parking locations are reserved for electric vehicle charging only.
