​You're Invited to Celebrate the Official Opening of Edgewater!

Plans are coming together for the official opening of Edgewater, and everyone is invited to join us as we celebrate this transformative community achievement on August 4, 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Years in the making, this major infrastructure investment has brought a long-envisioned project to life. The Edgewater Project brings lasting benefits to our community, including a cleaner harbour environment, an expanded Living Shoreline that supports a rehabilitated wildlife corridor, a popular active transportation route enjoyed by residents and visitors alike, accessible green and recreational spaces, and new roads supported by significant upgrades to water, wastewater, storm surge, and electrical infrastructure.

We want this occasion to be more than an opening ceremony, we'd love to see it become a town-wide celebration. Local organizations, community groups, and businesses interested in getting involved are encouraged to reach out with ideas, activities, or ways to participate. Businesses are also encouraged to consider extending their hours or hosting special promotions, after-hours shopping, or a Supper, Sip & Shop experience. The Mahone Bay Tourism and Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Mahone Bay can work together to help promote activities taking place throughout town during the afternoon and evening of August 4.
