25 years recognizing excellence.
Mayor Suzanne Lohnes-Croft is encouraging organizations and community leaders across Mahone Bay to help celebrate the very best of our community by nominating an extraordinary individual for the Order of Nova Scotia. As the highest honour of the Province of Nova Scotia, the Order recognizes Nova Scotians whose outstanding contributions and achievements have brought distinction, pride, and prestige to our province. Established in 2001, it shines a light on individuals who exemplify excellence, leadership, compassion, and dedication in their fields and in their communities. Any Canadian citizen who is a present or former long-term resident of Nova Scotia may be nominated. (Public officials such as Senators, MPs, MLAs, municipal councillors, or judges are not eligible while in office.) The honour may also be awarded posthumously, provided the nomination is submitted within one year of the individual’s passing. Please note: nominations are for individuals only, not couples, groups, or organizations. This is an opportunity to recognize someone who truly reflects the heart, spirit, and strength of Mahone Bay. If you know an individual whose impact has been remarkable and lasting, now is the time to share their story and ensure their contributions are honoured at the highest provincial level. Let’s come together to celebrate those who make our community and our province exceptional. Have someone excellent in mind: the closing date for nominations is Thursday, April 30th and forms can be found here: https://novascotia.ca/.../Order-of-Nova%20Scotia... Comments are closed.
