Edgewater Street Project Open House

We know there will be lots of questions at the upcoming Edgewater Street Project Open House, but we thought over the next week we would share some of the most common questions we’ve heard so far, along with their answers.

Question – How long will the construction take?
Answer – The project will begin in late March of 2025 and continue through to the end calendar year.

Question – Will the roads be closed?
Answer – Every effort will be made by the construction contractor to maintain traffic flows, particularly during the busy months for visitation; if possible both lanes will remain open, and when this not possible a minimum of one lane will remain open with traffic control. More information on this will be available at the open house.

The Edgewater Street Project Open House will be held on Thursday, March 6th, 6:30-8:30 at the Mahone Bay Legion, 21 Pond Street. This is a drop in event, pop in any time in that two-hour window to speak with the contractors, staff and council, learn more about the project, get answers to your questions and share any suggestions or ideas you may have.
