Edgewater site visit for Council

Council visited Edgewater Street on Tuesday to check on the project’s progress and meet with the Construction, Engineering, and Project Management teams.

The visit was a chance to talk more about what defines an active transportation route or multi-use trail, and to look at possible small design changes, such as slightly wider medians in some areas to allow for more trees and traffic-calming features along Edgewater between the trail and the road.

It was a valuable opportunity to see where community ideas might be included, and to consider how these changes fit with engineering standards, construction plans, funding rules, and overall costs.
