Please find the latest on the Edgewater Project work in town: HIGHLIGHT: ROAD CLOSURE BETWEEN CLEARLAND AND OLD EDGEWATER IS OPEN Main to Parish: Harbour Construction plans to pour the concrete curb and sidewalk next week, with paving scheduled for the following week. All lanes are currently open to traffic and will stay open until the concrete and paving start. Parish Intersection: Harbour Construction is discussing starting additional pipe work next week to finish this area. This includes replacing a short water main and hydrant on Parish Street. If this goes ahead, it will be done overnight. Edgewater near Parish: From the Parish end of Edgewater, Harbour Construction will start installing new water and sanitary mains toward the churches. Work will begin up to the first turn in the road next week. This will also be done at night to reduce impact. There may be a short overnight water outage for churches and residents east of Parish who are on temporary water. Edgewater Street: The closed section should reopen by the end of today, meaning the whole street will be open. This weekend, the only parking lot affected will be the laydown area near the public washrooms on Edgewater. Along water’s edge: Brush clearing is starting on stretches of Edgewater where infill will happen and raised multi-purpose trail will be built. Kedy’s Landing Area: Water infill work is expected to begin next week. This work will require traffic control with one lane open. The infilling is with rock to facilitate the new trail. Scarecrow Festival: Festival organizers, the Town and Edgewater Project Team are working together to ensure that every possible consideration is given to support the festival’s success. Thank you all for your patience as we move into these next phases of work. Comments are closed.
