Congratulations to Susan Corkum-Greek, MLA for Lunenburg, on her new appointment as Nova Scotia’s Minister of Opportunities and Social Development. We know she is the very best to be putting people and communities first.
The Department of Opportunities and Social Development helps people build healthier, more independent lives by providing a wide range of social services. Working with partners across the province, delivering programs that support employment and skills development, income assistance, affordable housing, and services for youth and families. Also responsible for child safety and family support services, foster care, and programs that help people with disabilities access the supports they need to thrive. As municipal partners, we value the strong working relationship we have built with Minister Corkum-Greek and we look forward to continuing to work together. We are excited to see the positive impact she will make in this role and we wish her all the best.
