Police Service

Police service in Mahone Bay is provided by contract with Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Police Act, the senior officer responsible for Mahone Bay is appointed as the Police Chief of the town. The RCMP has a community office located in the Mahone Bay Town Hall. The entrance to the police office is located on the east side of the Town Hall building. The office is staffed by community volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00am - 1:00pm. At other times the RCMP are present in the office on an as required basis although they are always 'on patrol' in the area.
